Default Hello

Hello everyone, I'm new to this and I need a little help. I'm currently taking my first Psychology class and I found out I have a dream analysis paper due this Monday. I usually remember my dreams but I don't have a clue what they mean. My Dad passed away a year ago in March, and up until 2 weeks ago I haven't dreamed of him at all. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on this? I would really appreciate the help, thanks.

Hi Rene29

Welcome to the forum.

What sort of thing do you need to do for your dream analysis paper? diffrent dreams and different analyses sort of thing? Sometimes, you can use any dream, it doesn't need to be your own, but that depends on the course. Maybe you can use a past dream, or one from of a friend? It's hard dreaming on demand, isn't it?

You probably have dreamed about your Dad in that time, but it quite possible that your subconsious has been putting in an extra effort to keep it from your consiousness (Oh I wish I could spell that word) and from you. It didn't want to cause you anymore pain than you were already going through. How did you feel when you did dream of him?

Always questioning!
